Dynamic identity concept for the Tenement Museum in the Lower East Side of NYC. This museum tells the story of real immigrant families that lived in the building in the 19th and early 20th century through tours, primary sources, and restored period apartments. The museum tells the story of identity and how these newcomers identified themselves–through their families, their language, their neighborhood, their possessions, etc. This system creates a frame which showcases these different identities. The mark also helps the museum display an extensive collection of historical photos. Photos courtesy of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, New York Public Library, and the Library of Congress.
